Bioengineer Postdoctoral Research Associate

The University of New Hampshire is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Li Lab in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering. Responsibilities

Design, synthesize, and characterize polymeric or hybrid biomaterials for vascular tissue models
Conduct cell culture studies (endothelial cells, fibroblasts, pericytes, etc.) to evaluate angiogenic behavior
Develop and analyze 3D vascularized tissue models and disease-on-chip systems
Employ imaging, mechanical testing, and molecular assays to assess vascular function and matrix remodeling
Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers and contribute to proposal writing and publications

Required

Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Strong background in hydrogel biomaterials, cell culture, and microscopy
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated productivity in peer-reviewed publications

Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable
Angiogenesis or vascular biology
Mechanobiology or microfluidics
Cell biology and stem cell differentiation
Polymer synthesis and characterization
Soft materials mechanics
