Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and review of indirect tax returns (sales/use, telecom, gross receipts, property tax). Prepare reconciliations and documentation to support monthly and quarterly tax filings

Support tax research projects by analyzing statutes, rulings, and regulations across multiple jurisdictions

Help gather, organize, and analyze data used for tax compliance and audit defense

Participate in system testing and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency

Collaborate with various tax teams, including tax compliance, revenue tax, consumption tax, property tax, tax policy, and income tax

Present findings and recommendations to the Indirect Tax team

Required

Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field

Strong academic performance with interest in tax, accounting, or financial analysis

Ability to work simultaneously on numerous projects

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and ability to work independently on assignments

Curiosity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment

At least 18 years of age

Legally authorized to work in the United States

High School Diploma or GED

Must be actively enrolled in a degree program or graduated within the last year

Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for internships

Preferred

Basic understanding of tax concepts or coursework in taxation preferred

Excel experience, with data analytics tools such as Alteryx and SQL a plus

Relocation may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
