Responsibilities
Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams. Example includes sending out region wide changes to construction trailer setup, COVID-19 testing procedures, or location to access documents
Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFI’s (requests for information), and change orders and dashboard and track this information for regional leadership review. Include tracking status of priority and due dates
Requesting and reviewing MOPs (Method of Procedure) for proper detail, necessity, and risk
On-boarding new vendors for badging and orientation
Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents
Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site
Compiling and storing construction data from vendors
Managing checklist including various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality
Qualification
Required
Experience working in a data center or mission critical facility (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.)
Experience in construction or project management
2+ years of construction or project management experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or 3+ years of construction or project management experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 2+ years of construction or project management experience
Experience updating and managing construction data including milestone dates, requests for information (RFI), design changes, and change orders
Preferred
Knowledge of electrical systems in critical Data Center operations that include but are not limited to utility substation feeds, transformers, switchgear, VFI Class UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, SLA/VRLA batteries and associated systems, diesel/gas turbine generators and related fuel systems, Surge Suppression, Active Harmonic Filtering, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems or SCADA systems
Knowledge of mission critical systems (data centers, hospitals, power plants, military facilities, etc.)
Experience in vendor negotiation and management for data center or upgrade construction contracts
CFC license or PMI qualification (PMP, IPMA, IPMC)
