Risk Governance Sr Manager

Citizens is seeking a motivated professional to help shape the foundation of enterprise risk governance. The Risk Governance Senior Manager will play a critical role in supporting the risk management strategy, managing policy lifecycle processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Support Governance Excellence: Coordinate activities for risk committees, including producing meeting agendas and minutes, reviewing, compiling and distributing materials, and maintaining governance documentation
Policy & Framework Administration: Manage policy review processes and ensure adherence to Citizens’ Policy and Procedure Framework
Workflow Architect: Serve as a subject matter expert on GRC application workflows that operationalize framework requirements for policies and procedures
Regulatory & Audit Support: Assist with regulatory exams and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses, as applicable
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with risk leaders, policy owners, and front-line units to embed governance practices and drive process improvements
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance governance processes and tools
Project & Business Support: Provide administrative and project support for the Risk Division as needed

Required

5+ years in risk management, governance, or policy development within financial services or a regulated industry
Understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and governance best practices
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with Archer/GRC, Wdesk, or Ariba is a plus
Strong writing and grammar skills is essential
Adaptable, critical thinker willing to embrace innovation and leverage new technologies (e.g., MS Copilot) to drive efficiency and insights
Bachelor's degree required

Preferred

Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., FRM, CRCM)
