Hardware Engineering Intern

The Hardware Engineering Intern will be involved in the design and release of sustainment and value-added engineering projects related to the product line of Aperio Whole Slide Imaging Scanners.

Responsibilities
Performing system-level testing to produce data for use within design of experiments
Work with engineering team on various tasks, including but not limited to, machining, electronics, programming, verification & validation and system-level design and troubleshooting
Update or refine engineering drawings or processes with the guidance of senior engineers
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred
Some experience with CAD technologies, like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
Experience working with complex electromechanical systems
Extreme comfort with typical Windows programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc). Bonus points for familiarity with Linux / Unix computer environments
