Responsibilities

Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards

Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions

Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills

Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques

Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings

Potential for field assignments using in-line machine. Some travel may be required

Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations

Qualification

Required

Mechanical related Associates degree or 7+ years of experience with machining and fabricating

Minimum 5 years of full-cycle machining experience, including programming, setup, and operation of machines

Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks' modeling

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Ability to use precision measuring instruments

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills are a must

Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

Welding knowledge preferred

Experience in the process control industry is a plus

Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred
