Director of Clinical Informatics
Care New England is a trusted healthcare organization seeking a Director of Clinical Informatics to manage clinical computer applications in the inpatient setting. This role involves overseeing the Clinical Informatics Team, managing system implementations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while providing support to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities
Develops goals and objectives for the Clinical Applications group and assists with development of overall department goals and objectives
Coordinates the preparation and processes of computer systems to solve problems and achieve identified goals
Interacts with customers and other IS staff regarding priorities and appropriate application of software and computer technology
Works with vendors to specify and acquire products and services
Manages Human Resources effectively
Maintains a 24 hour on-call support capability to support CNE operations
Supports development of annual budgets
Preserves and protects employee and patients’ rights to confidentiality
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or directed
Effectively prioritizes own work in order to complete job responsibilities
Displays ability to adjust priorities based upon understanding of policies and procedures
Completes job responsibilities within required timeframe, according to established schedules or workflow requirements
Displays an ability to evaluate areas in need of improvement and provides input in order to improve current methods, services, programs or technology
Reviews and assesses information before making decisions and solving problems
Uses proper judgment and knowledge of established practices and procedures when addressing problems or issues

Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems and/or RN, or related field with minimum six years experience in application development/support and at least two years in management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Knowledge of systems development methodology, programming, analysis and troubleshooting is required
Preferred
Experience in healthcare environment
Experience with Cerner
