The role involves ensuring food safety and quality by monitoring production lines, conducting inspections, and documenting quality data.

Responsibilities
Supporting and maintaining food safety and quality assurance systems
Monitoring production lines for compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards
Conducting sanitation inspections and environmental/allergen swabbing
Collecting environmental, microbial, and product samples
Titrating PAA wash water levels; checking scale, thermometer, and metal detector functionality
Accurately documenting and reporting quality data
Communicating with production supervisors and managers regarding product issues
Identifying and escalating non-conformances
Verifying proper labeling, packaging, and product specifications
Assisting with internal audits and third-party inspections
Participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Supporting quality and food safety training for production staff
Maintaining calibration and verification records for QA equipment
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce waste
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Basic English writing and communication skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Reliable, accountable, and a strong team player
Willingness to be cross-trained within the QA team
Preferred
Previous experience in food production or manufacturing
Background in quality assurance or regulatory compliance
HACCP, PCQI, or SQF certification
Bilingual skills (Spanish, Somali, etc.)
High school diploma or higher education
