Responsibilities
Perform attorney work for the Child Support Division
Represent state interest in judicial and administrative matters
Provide legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program and staff
Assist Office of the Attorney General Attorneys in legal proceedings to locate, establish, enforce, modify or terminate court orders for child support and medical support
Represent the State of Texas in administrative hearings
Develop and deliver training
Support OAG trial lawyers by preparing sound opinions, conducting investigations and performing legal research
Qualification
Required
One-year experience in handling Family Law cases in the state of Texas
Experience in handling a high volume legal practice
Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
Must be licensed to practice Law in the state of Texas
Skill in legal writing, mediation, and negotiation
Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach
Ability to lift, push, pull, up to 25 lbs
