Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities
Serve as business partner and contributor to growth strategies, tactics, mid and long-range planning, ensuring that current revenue-generating strategies create value for Ingredion
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives
Provide insights to segment leaders on the financial implications of business activities; make recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance
Support the development of operating policies and procedures and improvement programs for the attainment of segment objectives
Foster alignment between strategic goals and operational execution
Contribute to the end-to-end process for developing, consolidating, and reporting the segment’s 5-year Strategic Plan ensuring the business meets global financial targets, verifying submissions are accurate and complete, identifying areas for growth, and mitigating financial risks through scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
Prepare and present all monthly and quarterly comprehensive financial reports, including segment income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Conduct thorough analyses of financial performance, highlighting key drivers and areas for improvement
Engage in regular business reviews with executives, offering actionable recommendations
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Investigate and explain deviations from budgeted, forecasted, and prior period figures
Collaborate with department heads to understand underlying causes and propose corrective actions
Track different performance aspects of our businesses, products, and plants and provide applicable feedback to ensure achievement of segment targets
Provide insights into the impact of variances on overall financial health
Provide financial modeling and sensitivity analysis around broad and in-depth internal and external factors
Support the annual T&HS US/Canada budgeting (Goal) process and the periodic forecast updates during the calendar year, by working cross-functionally with all stakeholders (Commercial, Operations, etc.) to establish annual financial goals and properly identify risks and opportunities
Execute special projects that focus on process improvements advancing an owner’s mindset and cost reduction at all levels across the segment
Create value by implementing action plans to enhance profit margins across the business
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific business challenges
Present findings and recommendations to senior management
Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency gains
Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis along with financial presentations for F&II US/Canada and Ingredion leaders
Ensure professional development to advance individual performance, organizational capability, succession planning, and recognition
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in Finance or Accounting
Must have 3+ years of finance planning experiences, preferably in food and beverage industry
Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced Excel skills
Must be able to analyze financial results and assess financial/strategic impacts of business decisions
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Demonstrated strong analytical skills and experience using ERP systems
Experience planning, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Limited travel required
Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner
Strong relationship building, influencing and communication skills
Preferred
CPA or MBA preferred
Experience working with SAP, SAP BW, and BPC preferred
