Responsibilities
Manage small to large scale transportation engineering projects
Provide oversight on projects and serve as a technical resource
Perform analysis and prepare design calculations
Prepare contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates
Perform quality review of highway, civil and traffic design calculations and contract documents
Participate in meetings with clients and project team members
Assist in business development with MaineDOT and other public and private sector clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (Maine preferred or ability to get reciprocity)
6+ years' experience in Transportation Engineering required
Demonstrated experience in federal, state (ME preferred), and local permitting processes
Experience in managing small to large projects
Demonstrated working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, knowledge of MicroStation or interest in learning a plus
Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized, and able to effectively manage time
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Independent, critical thinker with strong analytical ability, commitment to high-quality, and follow-through
