Responsibilities
Work closely with the measurements group to develop approaches for data manipulation to assist with production and quality feedback
Develop software and image processing algorithms for inspection technology
Transfer early-stage development into production-ready manufacturing solutions
Create and update documentation for production release of applications and procedures
Train engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on usage and maintenance of developed applications
Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting using performance and data analysis
Support deployed applications through continuous improvement and optimization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Strong programming skills in C# and Python
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software architecture
Knowledge of image processing algorithms, including: Blob analysis, Edge detection, Morphology, Feature extraction, Classification, Metrology, Data retrieval, plotting, and analysis
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with customers and coworkers
Results-oriented mindset
Strong ability to learn quickly
Effective multitasking skills
Quick learner
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work with others for whom English is not their primary language
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred in: Data Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering / ECE, Optics
Experience with image processing tools such as Halcon or OpenCV
Experience training CNNs and applying traditional machine learning techniques
Knowledge of statistical analysis and MEE concepts
Ability to interface with Database Management Systems
Experience supporting: Metrology, Inspection systems, Product quality in manufacturing, Optical measurement system development: Optics, Lighting, Cameras, Image acquisition, Laser systems, 2D/3D measurement, Fundamental understanding of physical optics
