Responsibilities
Designing, deploying, debugging and scaling core backbone infrastructure across new and existing global metros
Installing, configuring, and maintaining Juniper and Cisco hardware in production environment
Coordinating with vendors and internal organizations to build and expand large points of presence across the globe
Conducting deep protocol level debugging in collaboration with our hardware vendors to resolve complex network issues
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on topology standards and processes for router deployments, maintaining detailed documentation on router configuration and non-standard setups
Leveraging network telemetry and internal databases to drive data-informed decisions on performance optimization and capacity planning
Partnering with network architecture, automation, infrastructure, and NOC teams to maintain high network availability, reliability, and performance
Qualification
Required
8 years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent experience
Hands-on expertise with BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, and RSVP in a large service provider organization
Experience in IP network design & routing architecture ideally within ISPs, content providers or CDNs
Working knowledge of virtualization, SQL, Linux/Unix systems, Python or other scripting languages
Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to build trusting relationships on a global team
Highly organized self-starter who is comfortable working with cross-functional teams
