Responsibilities

Develop and optimize CNC machine programs for complex and high-precision components
Take new products from concept through full-scale production, ensuring manufacturability and process capability
Design and validate CAD models for tooling, gauges, fixtures, and specialized equipment
Specify and select advanced tooling and fixtures for machining operations, ensuring compatibility with production requirements
Prepare detailed process sheets and documentation for tooling, setup, and operational requirements
Establish and validate cycle times for all operations, ensuring compliance with part specifications and quality standards
Provide advanced technical support for production operations, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing corrective actions
Create functional specifications for assembly operations and approve integrator designs for compliance and performance
Lead high-impact continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement
Research, analyze, and report on requirements for new production processes, including cost, labor, tooling, and equipment considerations
Oversee buy-off of equipment and ensure successful implementation of advanced manufacturing systems
Collaborate with vendors and customers to resolve technical challenges, improve tooling performance, and drive innovation
Create and maintain detailed schedules to track process development, project progression, and milestone completion
Ensure all manufacturing processes meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Drive adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies to maintain competitive advantage

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in machining or manufacturing environments with extensive hands-on involvement in CNC operations, process development, and tooling design
Expert-level understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques, and methodologies
Advanced proficiency in CAD/CAM software and design tools including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Mastercam
Skilled in manufacturing simulation, statistical analysis, and ERP/MES systems such as Plex
Proven ability to develop technical proposals and present findings to senior stakeholders
Demonstrated success in leading new product introductions and complex process improvement initiatives
Strong capability in creating and maintaining project schedules and technical documentation
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
Effective in cross-functional collaboration and vendor/customer engagement for technical problem-solving
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently on high-complexity projects

Preferred

Advanced certifications in CNC programming, process optimization, or lean manufacturing considered an asset
