Responsibilities

Manages complex and multi-unit university web projects
Provides advanced web skills in the areas of interface design, accessibility, utilization and application integration
Manages major projects to deploy new services via the web, which includes providing work leadership to professional web staff assigned to the project
Coordinates project scope and specifications with requesting department administration
Defines project timelines and delegates work assignments to project staff
Reviews progress of project manages resources and ensures overall quality of completed websites
Collaborates with programmers, database administrators and application developers to integrate and manage automated web content and services
Provides expertise in web design to develop the accessibility, functionality and enhance the design of university web sites
Researches, evaluates and recommends new web technologies for use on the university's website
Provides support for the university's web administrators and Information Technology web service center
Develops and implements procedures for web accessibility, utilization and design; assists with the development of web standards
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required

Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline
Basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline
Formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed
Minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience
Advanced web skills in the areas of interface design, accessibility, utilization and application integration
Experience managing complex and multi-unit university web projects
Ability to provide work leadership to professional web staff assigned to the project
Experience coordinating project scope and specifications with requesting department administration
Ability to define project timelines and delegate work assignments to project staff
Experience reviewing progress of projects, managing resources and ensuring overall quality of completed websites
Ability to collaborate with programmers, database administrators and application developers to integrate and manage automated web content and services
Expertise in web design to develop the accessibility, functionality and enhance the design of university web sites
Experience researching, evaluating and recommending new web technologies for use on the university's website
Ability to provide support for the university's web administrators and Information Technology web service center
