Postdoctoral Fellow in Nutritional Sciences
Auburn University is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Nutritional Sciences to investigate obesity-linked diseases at various biological levels. The role involves working with mouse models and conducting experiments in molecular biology, while collaborating with the Boshell Diabetes and Metabolic Disease Research Program.

Responsibilities
Working with mouse models of cancer including patient derived xenograft models and performing tumor cell dissociation experiments from mouse models and cancer patients
Performing experiments in mouse models of obesity, including but not limited to: genotyping animals; assessing metabolic phenotypes; and harvesting tissues and whole blood
Performing cell and molecular biology, biochemical, and tissue culture experiments
Supervising Graduate and Undergraduate Students
Sharing general house-keeping duties with other staff working in the laboratory
Presenting data, current projects and results at internal seminars and at external meetings and conferences as required
Assisting in manuscript and grant writing
Following Auburn University health and safety policies and other rules as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in biological sciences postgraduate (Ph.D.) field at the time employment begins
Background in cell and/or molecular biology, tissue engineering, or animal physiology
Proficiencies in oral and written English
Must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. by the date of this appointment and continue to work legally for the proposed term of the appointment
Preferred
Experience in cell/ molecular biology, in vitro models of cancer, metabolic disease, in vivo rodent physiology, and minor animal surgery
