Senior Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

Perform testing using both routine and special techniques
Analyze and process standard reference materials, raw material samples, in-process samples, and final product samples within expected turnaround time
Record results of tests, organize data, perform basic computations, and prepare reports using procedures and guidelines
Maintain and troubleshoot instruments and equipment
Complete calibrations and standardizations
Communicate effectively with operations, process technology staff, engineers, and other personnel
Participate in required safety programs, including working safely and maintaining a clean and orderly lab environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, or another science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field
4+ years experience working in a lab setting
Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be willing to handle hazardous materials and chemical waste while following all safety protocols
Must be willing to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, and steel-toed boots
Work 12 hour rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

Experience working in a manufacturing lab environment
Experience with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy (NMR)
Experience with Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES)
Experience with chromatography
Experience with a variety of titration techniques
ISO 9001 standard experience
