Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure , including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs
Conduct network security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate weaknesses
Monitor network traffic for malicious activity and respond to security incidents swiftly and effectively
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures across all network services
Manage access control lists (ACLs) and other security measures to enforce a principle of least privilege
Perform capacity planning and performance monitoring with a focus on security-related metrics
Research and implement new security technologies to enhance our defense capabilities
Automate security-related tasks and incident response processes
Ensure PCI-DSS compliance and other relevant security standards are met
Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior staff on network security best practices
Participate in a reasonable on-call rotation to address urgent security matters
Other duties as required

Required

8+ years of applied experience in network administration with a strong focus on security
Expert-level knowledge of Advanced Firewall Management and configuration
Advanced LAN / WAN Design and Management with a focus on secure architecture
In-depth knowledge of VPN technologies and secure communications
Expertise in VLAN configurations and network segmentation for security
Deep understanding of Access Control Lists (ACLs) and DMZ configurations
Proven experience with Network Security & Auditing
Knowledge of Cloud Connectivity and securing hybrid environments
Experience with Subnetting and IP addressing in a security context
Knowledge of VOIP security considerations
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a relevant security certification (e.g., CISSP) or equivalent experience/knowledge
Advanced knowledge and expertise in [insert specific field of expertise and any specific knowledge that the position requires]
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Advanced critical thinking and project planning skills
Advanced data analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
