Responsibilities
Solution Design Manager key focus – enabling and ensuring the sale process produces a proposed implementation which is fully scalable and supportable, with assumptions and limitations identified
Solution Design Manager: The Solution Design Manager [SDM] is an industry and Traiana services SME, capable of guiding clients through requirements gathering, and advising the implementation team internally on business requirements, when questions come up over the course of a project
Pre-Sales: Following initial discussions between Sales and the client, and after the client's business goal is understood, the SDM is responsible for pre-sales business and technical requirements gathering. The SDM will partner with the client and Sales (and other teams as appropriate) to ensure that the solution we offer best meets the client’s needs and fits within OSTTRA’s ecosystem
Scope Preparation: The SDM prepares a detailed scope document covering all planned messaging flows, message formats, connectivity, specific mapping requirements, special processing, and assumptions and limitations. The document will require client sign-off before an SOW is signed. The scope (as well as the spec and samples, where applicable) will be handed over to the Technical Project Manager as a blueprint to build a solution. It will cover everything needed to plan the technical implementation
Integration Specification: The SDM will check that the messages the client will send to Traiana meets either:
Standard Traiana Implementation requirements
Has more custom messaging requirements, in which case the SDM will work with a TPM Manager to create a bespoke integration specification
Product Strategy Liaison: As requirements gathering conversations with clients may help identify strategic opportunities, the SDM will report new requirement types and broad interest in specific functionality to the Product Strategy team
Training: The SDM will present service and application overviews to new joiners in Professional Services and additional overview/training to Client Services and Sales where required
Escalation Contact: The SDM will assist with production issues where the root cause may be a new requirement, or the product/service scope currently supported is not clear
