Responsibilities

Develop and implement sales and business strategies for South India, aligned with AMETEK’s corporate objectives
Monitor and drive sales performance within the region, ensuring targets for growth and profitability are consistently achieved
Build, optimize, and support distributor networks through scorecards, training, and joint initiatives to maximize market impact
Identify, recruit, and onboard new distributors to enhance market coverage and penetration in strategic locations
Support the execution of pricing models to ensure competitiveness and margin objectives
Mentor and guide territory distributors, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts through technical sales support, site visits, trade shows, and product demonstrations
Collaborate with Product Management to translate customer insights into product development opportunities
Maintain accurate forecasts, KPIs, and growth tracking tools to support regional reporting and strategic decisions
Partner with marketing and service teams to enhance distributor resources, training content, and digital engagement tools
Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and strategic thinking with the potential to advance into broader roles within the organization
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership, ideally within industrial or technical markets
Strong technical acumen and ability to support distributors and customers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)
Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP)
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
