Responsibilities
Coordinates the delivery of special education services, resources, schedules and reports for special education eligible students
Teaches ABE/GED students reading, math and writing skills
Interacts daily and re-occurring with prisoners of all custody levels
Completes additional duties as assigned by supervisor and Education Manager
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in special education or a field of K-12 education
Possession of current Michigan teaching certificate (or equivalent) with a special education endorsement in autism, cognitive impairment, emotional impairment, learning disabilities, physical education for students with disabilities, physical or other health impairment, speech and language impairment, and/or visual impairment
No specific type or amount of experience is required
Must provide at least three professional references and their contact information to include phone number and email address
Current MDOC employees must include their current supervisor as one of three professional references
