Responsibilities
Participate in research and innovation of data science projects that have impact to our products and customers globally
Apply ML expertise to train models, validates the accuracy of the models, and deploys the models at scale to production
Design and build systems which improve machine learning scalability, usability and performance
Work with data scientists and data engineers to build pipeline to train and deploy models
Lead the design of prototypes in our AI factory, partnering with product teams, AI strategists and data scientists, other stakeholders throughout the AI development life cycle
Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of our AI solutions focusing on scalability, efficiency, and functionality
Aggregate huge amounts of data from disparate sources to discover patterns and features necessary to automate the analytical models
Create requirements for APIs to support the operational needs of AI models and services
Collaborate with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and software developers to onboard existing and new AI use cases onto the observability platform, ensuring optimal integration
Apply best practices in MLOps, LLMOps, Data Science, and software engineering to ensure the delivery of clean, efficient, and reliable code
Research, write documents and technical requirements, white papers
Lead and transform data science prototypes
Design AI applications using efficient ML models
Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
Explore the state-of-the-art technologies and apply them to deliver customer benefits
Think pragmatically when introducing new technologies. Balance the demand for short-term goals to meet project deadlines, with the need for longer-term and innovative solutions
Mentor a diverse team of junior engineers in machine learning techniques, tools and concepts. Provide guidance and leadership to more junior engineers
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Manage communications and requirements from different stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals and timelines
Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, LLMOps, and software engineering to drive innovation within our platforms and services
Effectively communicate results to peers and leaders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
5+ years of strong, hand-on data science and machine learning engineering experience developing and maintaining AI solutions
Experience with multiple complex scenarios and data modelling
Proficiency with Databricks required
Proficiency with Python required
Experience with the Azure cloud computing platform required
Complex business problem solving experience
Solid grasp of software engineering principles, including but not limited to version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and automated testing
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team environment, and strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
Preferred
Diversity of work in data science, problem solving, and creating algorithms preferred
Experience with statistical modeling techniques preferred
Experience with API development preferred
Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), with specific experience in implementing and managing large language models (LLMs) preferred
