Senior Flower Technician

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) is focused on providing the highest quality flower for patients and consumers. As a Senior Flower Technician, you will be responsible for plant maintenance, training new employees, and ensuring safety and compliance within the department.

Responsibilities

Participate in department safety audits and hazard assessments
Train new hires on department 5S requirements
Ensure all employees execute processes in the guidelines of department specific training
Report and escalate safety concerns
Train employees on compliance with PPE and area safety requirements
Train employees on compliance with GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements
Train employees on all company and state required record keeping is accurate and complete
Train employees on tools, equipment and machinery
Ensure department inventory requirements are met
Report and escalate quality concerns
Use hands and hand tools to perform plant maintenance activities including defoliation, pruning, skirting
Can function as a stand in for an area lead
Communicate production goals and maintain tracking of performance
Execute IPM activities, including spraying and all associated requirements of spraying
Follow department specific work instructions, SOP’s and employee training
Develop deep technical knowledge for the department
The ability to recognize different strains, requirements associated with the strain, growth patterns and identify anomalies within the plants and recommend actions to address
Participate in continuous improvement projects

Required

A minimum of one year of experience working in a manufacturing or agricultural environment
Intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications
Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
Must be able to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
Must be able to work in an environment that is 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods
Must be able to work at heights
Must pass all required background checks and approval by state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry
Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Must possess valid driver's license
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution while working with product
Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil)

Preferred

Associate's degree or Certifications preferred
Prior cannabis experience not required
