They are seeking a Financial Services Team Lead to oversee a team of financial analysts and ensure the smooth execution of operations within the Finance Department, combining hands-on work with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a small team responsible for daily accounting and financial operations

Ensure all Finance Department activities are completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule

Maintain and optimize the finance processing calendar, ensuring appropriate coverage and workload distribution and reliable fiscal close schedules

Develop, document, and refine processes and procedures to support accuracy, compliance, and scalability as the company grows

Provide expert guidance on the proper accounting treatment of business transactions, including revenue recognition, cost allocation, and project accounting nuances common to VAR and services organizations

Serve as a hands-on contributor by covering day-to-day tasks during peak periods or team member absences

Prepare and review financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to support leadership decision-making

Partner with Sales Operations, Project Operations, and other internal teams to ensure data integrity and alignment across systems

Contribute to system improvements in Business Central and Dynamics 365 to streamline workflows and enhance financial accuracy

Required

Experience overseeing or performing full financial operations in an IT VAR, systems integrator, MSP, or similar technology-oriented business

Prior experience leading or supervising a small team in a fast-paced environment

BS in Accounting or equivalent professional experience

Hands-on experience with Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics 365, including system navigation, configuration concepts, and financial reporting modules

Strong analytical skills with experience preparing financial reports and performing data-driven analysis

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and related tools

Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Process-driven mindset with an interest in continuous improvement and operational efficiency
