Jacobs is seeking a construction intern to work with their team at a construction site near Idaho Falls, ID, for the Summer of 2026 semester. The role involves conducting environmental surveillances in the field and maintaining safety standards on the construction site.

Responsibilities

Work will include conducting frequent environmental surveillances in the field across an active construction site

Work will be split between the field and an office setting

Some walking and standing will occur in the course of a normal workday to perform environmental surveillances on Subcontractors

Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance

Must pass drug testing

Must be able to read and write effectively in English

Must embrace Beyond Zero/Safety principles to include: adhering to safe work practices and standards while performing daily tasks, taking responsibility for own and coworkers’ safekeeping and encouraging others to work safely

Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management

Must perform work activities requiring interaction, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others

Must be able to work under supervision and respond appropriately and professionally to criticism from a supervisor

May require occasional travel

Must be a construction student from an accredited university

The ideal candidate for this position will reside a commutable distance from our Scoville, ID project office. No relocation or temporary living per diem is offered for our internships

Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance

Must pass drug testing

While performing duties in the field, there will be exposure to heavy mobile construction equipment
