Responsibilities
Architecting scalable, validated industrial solutions that drive innovation and customer value
Leading technical incubation and deployment with cross-functional teams and integration partners
Designing modular system packages and defining in-scope capabilities with clear implementation guidance
Piloting and validating emerging technologies with direct customer input and CTO Field Office support
Ensuring seamless integration across legacy IT and modern platforms from control systems to cloud
Balancing feasibility, cost, maintainability, and compatibility across the system lifecycle
Collaborating to extract reusable assets and support intuitive enablement channels
Driving pre-system testing and readiness assessments for scalable deployment
Building trusted relationships through co-innovation and strategic technical leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, computer science, or IT with focus on automation, simulation, or AI/ML
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations and systems/application engineering, including customer co-innovation, requirement definition, and deployment projects
Proven expertise in designing scalable industrial solutions and system architectures, from pilot to mass rollout, with strong stakeholder alignment and usability focus
Hands-on experience with automation technologies including Industrial Edge, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Siemens platforms (WinCC, InsightHub, Mendix, SCADA), and industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus)
Strong technical foundation in IT/OT networks, Linux administration, DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD), and programming in Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript
Demonstrated ability to manage system lifecycle challenges including variant management, compatibility, and maintainability
Excellent communication skills to lead technical discussions, justify architectural decisions, and serve as a central contact for architecture-related topics
Must currently reside in the continental USA. Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the U.S
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for industrial infrastructure
Experience deploying systems in resource-constrained edge environments (e.g., Siemens IPCs, Raspberry Pi, Intel NUC)
Proficiency in RUST, async programming, and memory management
Experience with Enterprise Kubernetes platforms (RedHat, OpenShift) or microservices deployment
Exposure to real-time workloads and message buses (Zenoh, DDS, NATS)
