Lead Deputy Clerk - Supreme
The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts is seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Lead Deputy Clerk in the Supreme Court Clerk's Office. This position involves reviewing and filing bar admission cases, providing information on Supreme Court policies, and managing various administrative tasks related to attorney admissions.
Responsibilities
Review and file bar admission cases and motions in compliance with Supreme Court rules
Provides information to attorneys, law clerks, and judges regarding Supreme Court policies and procedures
Responsible for the preparation of the semiannual law class for admission to the bar in the five judicial districts
Organizes the distribution and collection of Illinois attorney oaths
Collects law license fees
Prepares law licenses to those who have been admitted to the Illinois bar
Prepares and issues certificates of admission to attorneys as requested
Draft correspondence and memoranda consistent with Supreme Court rules
Communicate with justices' secretaries and law clerks
Prepare draft orders for judicial appointments and assignments
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities is required

Ability to maintain confidential information
Skill in the use of a computer keyboard to access and enter data into the case management system

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Minimum of three years of work experience in an office environment, preferably a legal setting
Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
