Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and performance management for the Integrated Solutions Project Engineers and Thermal Installation Engineering teams
Collaborate with Project Managers and Program Managers to build realistic engineering schedules and resource forecasts for both Integrated Solutions and Thermal Services opportunities
Own and execute the engineering forecast (NSB, recovery, and resource utilization targets) for both teams; achieve or exceed gross margin and on-time-delivery metrics
Ensure customer-specific standards, specifications, and processes (electrical, mechanical, thermal, controls, BIM/Revit, etc.) are correctly implemented and consistently followed
Actively participate in (or delegate participation to) Engineering/Quoter kick-off calls, Engineer–Installer hand-off calls, and critical customer reviews
Proactively identify, escalate, and support the capture of Potential Change Orders (PCOs) and value-engineering opportunities
Enforce scope control: no work or material shipments beyond quoted scope without written concurrence from the Project Manager and Installation Manager
Own the quality and timeliness of all engineering deliverables (BOMs, drawings, submittals, O&Ms, as-built packages, etc.) prior to release to customers and field teams
Drive standardization and reuse of designs, templates, and tools across Integrated Solutions and Thermal disciplines to improve speed and reduce errors
Champion safety in design and documentation; ensure all deliverables comply with Vertiv safety standards and promote a 'zero-incident' culture
Continuously improve the technical competency of both teams (electrical power distribution, switchgear, UPS, cooling systems, controls integration, energy modeling, etc.) through training, certifications, and knowledge-sharing
Develop individual development plans for direct reports; grow skill sets so engineers consistently exceed productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction metrics
Partner with peer Engineering Managers and the Services Bid Desk team to improve bid accuracy and win rates
Lead or support process-improvement initiatives that benefit both Integrated Solutions and Thermal delivery
Serve as the primary engineering escalation point for complex Integrated Solutions and Thermal projects

Minimum 8 years of progressive engineering experience in critical power and/or thermal management systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities
Minimum 4 years of direct people-management experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Strong understanding of data-center infrastructure (power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, chilled-water systems, cooling, airflow management, controls/BMS, energy efficiency)
Proven track record of delivering complex engineering packages on time and with high quality in a project-based environment
Demonstrated financial acumen: ability to read P&L, manage forecasts, influence gross margin, and understand change-order impacts
