Responsibilities

Plan the structure of parts and systems through target setting, packaging, electrical interface definition, parameter setting, and style feasibility
Ensure error-free output for parts development, including Parts Lists, Wire Specifications, and Part Specifications
Lead product development for vehicle projects, working through project milestones with cross-functional teams
Drive the development of electronic parts for both minor and major vehicle changes
Take initiative to improve group operations, processes, and project health visualization
Benchmark competitor vehicles and technologies to propose next-generation parts and systems that improve user experience, cost, mass, and performance
Create and maintain part development schedules, negotiate with internal teams and suppliers, and manage risk to meet project targets
Participate in evaluation and manufacturing activities, both domestically and internationally
Facilitate communication between Toyota Design Centers and counterparts in Japan
Support TMNA’s growth in developing electrical systems and mentor junior engineers
Lead the creation of performance and functional specifications for Cockpit Electronics
Work with local customers and engineers to solve issues, conduct joint testing, and drive continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field that provides a strong technical foundation
Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate to reach milestones with high-quality, on-time results
Open-mindedness and willingness to learn new systems and processes
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with development quality tools such as DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA, etc
Strong time management and task prioritization skills
Clear and concise communication skills, both written and oral
Willingness to work overtime (up to 10% of the time) and travel domestically/internationally (up to 5% of the time)

Preferred

Master's degree in a related engineering or computer science field that deepens your expertise
Fundamental circuitry knowledge
Experience using CATIA or similar systems
Experience leading or collaborating on development of mid-size or large-scale ADAS or electronic systems, from concept through production
Experience with basic architecture and sharing of system functions on Vehicle ECU, CAN, and CAN-FD in-vehicle communication
