The Printing Press Assistant will assist the Press Operator, maintain quality specifications, and perform maintenance on printing presses in a clean working environment.

Responsibilities

Assists the Press Operator: set up materials, printing press feed, printing units with ink and other supplies and logistics activities. Maintains job information in ERP system

Assures quality - realizes specifications of printing job

Performs daily maintenance and preventive maintenance and cleaning of printing press to ensure a clean working environment

Operates a transporter pallet, operates interface of the printing press and Cutstar control panel

Understands Risk and Safety and Hazard and precaution Statements

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required

Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship required

Strong proficiency in the use of computer systems

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on‐time completion of assigned activities

Specific vision abilities include – close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, and ability to adjust focus

Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting

Continually stand for prolonged periods; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance; moderate to frequent walking

Routinely use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and manipulate items; use hands and arms to reach for items in and around the press area; occasionally stoop or kneel while reaching

Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds

Regularly push or pull objects up to 40 pounds

Medium to loud noise environment

Work flexible/varying schedules and overtime hours as needed

Must work according to the requirements for ISO9001, ISO14001, BRC Packaging and FDA
