Senior LevelThe State of South Carolina Department of Insurance is seeking motivated individuals to join their Financial Regulations & Solvency Division as Senior Auditors/Analysts. In this role, you will evaluate the financial strength and solvency of insurance companies operating in the state, working under the direction of the Supervising Financial Analyst.

Responsibilities
Evaluate the financial strength and solvency of insurance companies operating in the state
Review statutory and/or GAAP financial statements
Assess risks
Identify solvency concerns
Determine compliance with state laws and NAIC guidance
Analyze company financial statements
Analyze audited financial reports
Analyze actuarial opinions
Analyze holding company filings
Analyze NAIC solvency tools
Analyze financial indicators to understand trends, ratios, and emerging risks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Appropriate coursework in accounting/auditing
Preferred
Coursework or experience in accounting or auditing
1–3 years of financial analysis experience
Progress toward certifications such as CPA, CFE, ARe, or CPCU
