Responsibilities
Define and lead the diversification of TÜV SÜD’s Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services into the global defense sector
Develop and implement a comprehensive global go-to-market strategy aligned with TÜV SÜD’s 2030 vision
Conduct market assessments and competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities and regulatory trends (e.g., MIL-STD, NATO, ITAR, AS9100)
Build and maintain relationships with Ministries of Defense, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and technology innovators
Support internal capability development, including lab upgrades, accreditation, and talent acquisition for defense-specific services
Represent TÜV SÜD in defense-focused working groups, trade shows, and innovation clusters
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; MBA preferred
5+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, automotive TIC, or related industry
Strong knowledge of defense regulations, standards, and certification ecosystems
Proven experience in strategy development and execution across global markets
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness to travel globally
Preferred
Technical understanding of EMC, RF, battery, environmental, or cyber testing (nice-to-have)
