Utah State University is seeking applications for either a Professional Practice Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will teach courses in forensic science and investigations, advise students, and contribute to the department and university.

Teaching lower and upper-division courses in the criminal justice program
Advising undergraduate students
Providing service to the department, the university, and the profession
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

an MA/MS in forensic sciences, criminal justice/criminology or a closely related social science discipline at the time of appointment
a PhD in forensic science, criminal justice/investigations or a closely related forensics degree at the time of appointment
a Juris Doctorate (JD) and a master's degree in forensic science, criminal justice/investigations or a closely related forensics degree at the time of appointment
a JD and demonstrated relevant experience in criminal justice/investigations at the time of appointment

Preferred

experience teaching undergraduate courses in criminal justice
teaching experience with distance education technology and delivery modalities
experience working in corrections
experience teaching undergraduate courses in forensic science, criminal justice, or investigations
teaching experience with distance education technology
a record of scholarly activity
experience working in forensic science or investigations
