Responsibilities
Work with a team of software engineers and/or other interns/co-ops developing application software and services that manage and monitor Nokia’s telecom networks
Operate in a SaaS-first mindset to deliver technology that will be developed as well as operated by your team
Develop automated tests to functionally validate the capabilities you engineer
Learn good design and software engineering practices under the guidance of a senior software architect
Understand the inner workings of Nokia’s state-of-the-art 5G telecom networks that help the world act together
Qualification
Required
Currently a candidate for a Master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field at an accredited school in the US
Strong programming skills demonstrated through academic coursework, personal projects, or internships, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with the ability to apply these concepts to solve real-world problems efficiently
A proactive and curious mindset, with a can-do attitude toward learning new technologies, tools, and concepts in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Completed coursework or gained prior experience in computer networking, including familiarity with protocols, architectures, or network troubleshooting
Exposure to or hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or data processing pipelines
Interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML), whether through projects, research, or personal exploration
