SQA Engineer - ASPICE
Randstad Digital Americas is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer focused on quality assurance activities related to the ASPICE process. The role involves conducting independent verification and validation activities, managing non-conformances, and supporting quality gates throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Conduct independent verification and validation activities with a primary focus on Software Release Check Reviews and all defined work products (e.g., requirements, design, test plans, source code) to ensure they meet quality criteria
Ensure that project-specific ASPICE SUP.1 work product processes are followed during execution
Identify, document, track, and manage software non-conformances and deviations from standards, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely and effective resolution and corrective actions
Establish and report quality assurance metrics and results of performed evaluations to project management and relevant stakeholders, providing objective evidence of product and process compliance
Support quality gates and readiness reviews throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring all mandatory quality assurance activities are completed before phase transitions or product release
Potential future opportunity to expand into verifying and auditing the project's tool chain configuration to support defined quality processes, including ensuring proper configuration management, change control, and traceability is maintained across all work products

Required
ASPICE SUP.1
Software Quality Assurance
DOORS
A minimum of 4 years of experience performing pure Software Quality Assurance (QA) activities, specifically auditing and process compliance (not just software testing)
Deep working knowledge and practical application experience with ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) processes, particularly SUP.1 (Software Quality Assurance)
Proven ability to define and conduct independent, objective evaluations of software development processes and related work products
Strong experience in documenting, tracking, and ensuring the closure of non-conformances and managing corrective action plans
Familiarity with software development lifecycles (V-model, Agile, Iterative) and the specific quality gates associated with them
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams and report compliance status to management
Experience with quality management tools (e.g., Jira, DOORS, Confluence) used for defect tracking, configuration management, and traceability
Preferred
Certified Provisional Assessor (or higher) in ASPICE
Experience working in the automotive, aerospace, or a highly regulated industry requiring formal process compliance
Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and how SQA interacts with safety activities
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
