They are seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Building Engineering team as a Plumbing Engineer, responsible for leading plumbing design for multiple projects, preparing reports, and supervising project teams.

Responsibilities

Leading the plumbing design of multiple projects of various sizes

Preparing reports and studies

Selecting, specifying, and estimating costs of plumbing system equipment and fixtures

Performing calculations as required

Conducting periodic construction site inspections

Supervises staff on project teams

Other tasks as assigned

Qualification

Required

A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university

At least six years of relevant plumbing engineering experience

PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states

A valid driver's license

Approximately up to 25% travel will be required

Preferred

Leading plumbing design of complex projects including fire suppression / sprinkler, compressed air / gas, laboratory water / gas and medical gas design

Performing calculations for system layout and sizing

Using Revit to create bid document drawings

Designing systems for Federal Government projects

Plumbing, fire protection and building codes

CPD certification from ASPE is preferred
