Southeast Sales Manager

Responsibilities

Manage agent network and work with key accounts to maximize market penetration and profitability across the South East Region (NC, SC, FL, GA, AL, TN, VA)
Develop local strategies and drive execution to support division goals and objectives
Collaborate with departments to ensure necessary resources are deployed where required
Maintain strong relationships with sister brands to ensure aligned Zekelman Industries decisions
Identify sales opportunities through market research, customer contact, and other methods for the assigned region
Develop and execute local sales plans and strategies for active and potential pursuits
Prepare periodic reports to assess regional and agent performance against targets and prior-year results
Develop and lead the team (agent or direct) to ensure strong leadership in all markets
Establish close customer contact to understand needs and position Wheatland Tube to meet those needs
Collaborate with local sales representatives to ensure pricing and business strategy align with overall sales objectives
Drive demand for specialty products by influencing specifications with end users (including significant field travel visiting contractors)
Actively promote Wheatland Tube digital and service strengths through the existing sales network
Ensure that all key selling points and value-added attributes are communicated effectively in the marketplace
Represent Wheatland Tube at industry trade shows and exhibitions
Recommend product enhancements based on market feedback and increased sales potential
Monitor competitors and report trends and actions to management
Take on special projects as assigned and represent the company with the highest ethical standards

Required

7+ years of directly related business and/or sales/project management experience, preferably in the construction or industrial sales sector
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience
Excellent organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of tax reporting and accounting software
Energetic, personable, and able to build relationships with key stakeholders
Able to travel up to 75% of the time across the assigned region
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Legally eligible for employment in the United States without sponsorship
