USAJOBS is seeking a Sales Clerk for the Carolina Lakes Golf Course at Shaw AFB. The role involves selling golf merchandise, assisting customers, managing inventory, and handling transactions.

Responsibilities

Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of golf related merchandise

Answers customer questions, and provides product knowledge to customers

Assists with inventories, replenishes stock

Reforms housekeeping duties in sales and storage areas

Rotates and moves pro shop displays to enhance sales

Performs other related duties as assigned

Handles customer transactions through operation of pro shop POS and tee time system

Responsible for ringing in sales, cash handling and the completion of daily paperwork involving sales transactions

Coordinating daily operations involving cart sign out, club rentals, tee times, order of play, telephone inquiries, event sign-up sheets and customer follow-up

Required

Responsible experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales store work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position

Demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures

Ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers

Ability to operate a cash register

Be able to read, speak, and write English

Possess skill in dealing with the public

Be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
