Start in 2026 SummerShawmut Design and Construction is looking for college students for summer internships in Boston. The intern will support the IT Service Desk, assisting with tier 1 support, upgrading client systems, and helping implement new technologies.

Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day tier 1 support of end users and their Windows and iOS devices and apps, working on the phone, through chat, or email to resolve issues
Respond to, update, and resolve support tickets in our ITSM ticketing system
Assist in upgrading client devices to the latest version of Windows 11
Onboard new users, which includes imaging laptop hardware, configuring accounts, installing applications, and provisioning mobile devices
Assist with maintaining the inventory of laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Work closely with other User Services team members and with other IT teams if a support request requires escalation
Help develop and maintain end-user-facing documentation in the areas of how-to guides and problem resolution
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Support a culture of continuous process and organization improvement
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and effectively
