Responsibilities
Develop and maintain profitable relationships with health care clients and prospects
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through internal networks and industry connections
Design and execute strategic marketing and prospecting plans tailored to the health care vertical
Collaborate with underwriting, risk management, and service teams to craft innovative insurance and alternative risk solutions
Deliver on an annual sales and marketing plan, reviewed and supported by Huntington Insurance leadership
Partner with banking colleagues to uncover cross-sell opportunities across Huntington’s full suite of financial services
Educate clients on the benefits and implementation of alternative risk financing mechanisms
Provide leadership and mentorship to service teams, ensuring high-quality client support
Participate in industry events, strategy sessions, and internal meetings to stay ahead of market trends
Maintain all required licenses and complete continuing education requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license
7+ years of experience in Commercial P&C insurance sales, with a strong focus on commercial real estate and bonds
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
Additional state insurance licenses
Demonstrated success in selling to health care organizations and structuring alternative risk programs
Professional designations such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), or healthcare-specific certifications
Strong understanding of regulatory and operational dynamics within the health care industry
