Woodgrain is one of the top millwork operations in the world, and they are looking for a Sawmill Production Associate in Independence, VA. The role involves handling, inspecting, and sorting lumber to ensure quality and efficiency in the sawmill operation.

Responsibilities

Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working at all times
Maintain feed chain conveyors to prevent boards from becoming crossed up or jammed to allow the line to run continually throughout the shift
Handling boards by flipping, inspecting, and sorting lumber
Make sure chains and guards are in place to help make the work area as safe as possible
Keep work area clear of wood and debris
Occasionally operate a chain saw

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Lock out/Tag out trained
Must be SAFETY minded while working in a production environment
Lifting and physical activity is required for this position, must be able to move boards and wood pieces
