Director/ExecutiveState University of New York at Plattsburgh is seeking a Director for their Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). This role involves providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to support historically underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income students through various academic and personal support services.

Responsibilities
Providing strategic leadership across all aspects of EOP operations
Developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and initiatives that align with SUNY and institutional goals
Managing EOP student recruitment, admissions, and onboarding in partnership with AOP
Supervising, evaluating, and supporting EOP professional and student staff
Cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment
Preparing and overseeing the annual EOP budget, authorizing and monitoring expenditures
Ensuring adherence to all SUNY, state, and institutional policies and reporting standards
Maintaining precise records of students and programs, including statistical data and assessment reports
Developing and assessing strategies to enhance student success and improve retention and graduation rates
Coordinating with academic and student success offices to provide comprehensive support to students
Representing EOP to SUNY, governmental agencies, community partners, and the public
Engaging in divisional and institutional initiatives that foster equity, access, and persistence
Qualification
Required
Visionary leadership and strategic direction experience
Operational oversight experience for educational programs
Experience in delivering academic, personal, and financial support services
Ability to promote equity, access, and student success for historically underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income students
Experience in program planning, assessment, and compliance
Ability to serve as a liaison to SUNY System Administration, campus community, and external stakeholders
Experience in managing student recruitment, admissions, and onboarding
Supervisory experience with professional and student staff
Ability to cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment
Experience in preparing and overseeing budgets
Knowledge of adherence to SUNY, state, and institutional policies and reporting standards
Ability to maintain precise records of students and programs, including statistical data and assessment reports
Experience in developing and assessing strategies to enhance student success and improve retention and graduation rates
Ability to coordinate with academic and student success offices
Experience in representing educational programs to various stakeholders
Engagement in divisional and institutional initiatives that foster equity, access, and persistence
Understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices
