Responsibilities
Examines/audits records to ensure that calculations of earned premium for risks are accurate
Validates that correct classes are being applied and in accordance with company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials
Tours the insured’s premises
Reviews results of audits with producers, underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership. Identifies opportunities to resolve discrepancies
Reviews certificates of insurance and determines which class codes apply to specific exposures. Reviews claims activity on policies to ensure that employee coding is consistent/accurate
Provides effective Customer Service throughout the life cycle of Premium Audit functions
Maintains a working knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions and ensures correct and consistent application
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of related experience
Working knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to jurisdictions
Ability to examine/audit records to ensure accurate calculations of earned premium for risks
Ability to validate correct classes being applied in accordance with company procedures
Ability to review results of audits with producers, underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership
Ability to review certificates of insurance and determine applicable class codes
Ability to review claims activity on policies for consistent/accurate employee coding
Effective Customer Service skills throughout the life cycle of Premium Audit functions
Ability to perform other duties as assigned
Must reside in the vicinity of St. Augustine, FL
