Responsibilities

Serve as a Mammography Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist
Assist the Radiologist(s) and other Health Care Providers needle localizations, breast ultrasound studies and other related breast health examinations
Review of procedural schedule to determine appropriate imaging modality and positioning
Set up and operation of equipment such as radiographic imaging systems, mammography dry laser printers and compact disk creating systems
Perform a complex and diverse array of screening and diagnostic mammography examinations
Ensure compliance with American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines for mammography accreditation
Collect, file, and maintain documentation related to the performance of mammograms and resulting studies

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) certification
Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
One year of specialized experience performing radiologic examinations to include mammograms; and setting up the exam room
One and a half years of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Diagnostic Radiology/Radiography
Combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact
Selectees will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption
This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing
Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required
A pre-placement medical examination is required
One year trial/probationary period may be required
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities must be evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs
