Responsibilities

Teach courses at the graduate level in FIEA and the undergraduate level in the Games and Interactive Media (GaIM) program
Utilize virtual technologies for team and one-on-one instruction
Conduct instructional duties and service assignments in the FIEA graduate program consistent with the current equitable workload policy
Supervise individual students and manage approximately 15-20 contact hours per week per course
Serve as faculty advisor for the team-based curriculum
Engage in recruitment and professional, instructional, and community service in the game and simulation industries

Required

Hold a terminal degree from an accredited institution in digital arts, interactive technologies, or related field (for lecturer)
Hold a master's degree from an accredited institution in digital arts, interactive technology, or related field and at least three years of relevant professional experience (for instructor)
Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in digital arts, interactive technologies, or related field and at least seven years of relevant professional experience (for instructor)
Appropriate specialization in a majority of the following areas: C/C++, Python, C# programming languages, vector algebra, game physics, shaders, VFX/Niagra, VFX/Houdini, game art asset pipeline, lighting, block design/whitebox, Blueprints Visual Scripting, 3D digital art tool Maya
Evidence of effective teaching and/or mentoring

Preferred

Knowledge and experience in the Unreal game engine
Demonstration of specialization in each of the following areas: C/C++, Python, C# programming languages, vector algebra, game physics, shaders, VFX/Niagra, VFX/Houdini, game art asset pipeline, lighting, block design/whitebox, Blueprints Visual Scripting, 3D digital art tool Maya
Ability to support the Executive Director and program as an Industry Relations liaison within the game and simulation industries
