Sr. Database Engineer
Piper Companies is a family-owned enterprise healthcare organization seeking a Sr. Database Engineer to focus on designing and implementing enterprise-level database architecture, security, and ETL solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance.

Responsibilities
Design and implement database architecture, security, and ETL processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database strategies with business needs
Evaluate and implement new database technologies, including cloud solutions
Ensure high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery planning
Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries
Define and enforce data security standards (encryption, obfuscation)
Support BI and data warehousing initiatives
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration and architecture
Expertise in T-SQL, stored procedures, and PowerShell scripting
Experience with high availability solutions (AlwaysOn, replication)
Knowledge of Azure SQL and cloud database environments
Familiarity with data protection tools and platforms (CommVault, Rubrik, Veeam)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Preferred: VMware, Active Directory, large datasets, ETL (SSIS), Power BI
