The role involves site evaluations, environmental permit documentation, and collaboration with project managers to design sustainable systems.

Responsibilities
Completing site evaluations, soil reports, grading plans, design details, landfill gas, sediment soil and groundwater sampling, geologic logging of borings, storm water modeling and conduct engineering analysis and calculations for permitting, permit compliance, solid waste and environmental feasibility studies, prepare reports, construction drawings and specifications and construction management
Complete groundwater sampling including coordination with laboratories, data analysis, and reporting
Prepare environmental permit documents on behalf of clients for regulatory agency compliance, coordinate and complete permitting project
Work with applicable regulators on environmental compliance
Performing site visits and prepares documents for public and private clients for a broad range of environmental compliance issues
Performing overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
Performing routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
Performing administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site project
Work both independently on small projects and as part of larger project teams to assist senior personnel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
1 year general Civil/Environmental experience with an emphasis on environmental compliance, design, permitting, and construction preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
Prior experience with field work and environmental regulations is a plus
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation is a plus
Preference given to local candidates
