Responsibilities

Design circuit boards to demonstrate the use and capabilities of integrated circuit products; provide technical expertise through customer presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products; support sales staff in assessing potential application of company integrated circuit products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions; build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client; provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation; ensure the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications; provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications

Required

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

The ability to use industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S or high-speed control/data bus examples to work with integrated circuits and understand the timing requirements, voltage level requirements, and effects of printed circuit board layouts

The ability to use scripting/programming language such as Verilog, C, Python, MATLAB, Embedded Firmware or similar to replicate real-world scenarios involving integrated circuits

Document and communicate the behavior of devices, via failure analysis reports, datasheets, application notes, or similar, for communication with internal and external customers

The ability to perform Schematic Capture using common EDA tools and to draw schematics based on same

The ability to create requirements for electrical system designs and support layout engineers during the layout process
