Assistant Professor of International Relations, Specializing in Latin America, Pardee School of Global Studies
Boston University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Latin American Studies at the Pardee School of Global Studies, beginning on or before July 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach courses related to Latin America, mentor students, and contribute to innovative scholarship and engaged teaching.

Teach at least one required course on Latin America
Teach courses in his/her/their area/s of functional expertise
Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate Masters degree students
Demonstrate excellence in teaching and a distinguished record of publication and research

Ability to advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate Masters degree students
Commitment to multidisciplinary, empirically-grounded, and policy-relevant research and teaching
Commitment to nurturing the next generation of international relations practitioners
Preferred
Candidates who have demonstrated policy experience in addition to scholarly qualifications are especially encouraged to apply
