Responsibilities
Clean, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with industry standards and regulations
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure all documentation is up to date
Inspect and test equipment for proper functionality and safety
Support the surgical team by ensuring all sterile supplies are ready and available when needed
Maintain inventory, restock, and sort medical equipment ensuring a smooth surgical experience for patients and providers
Create and maintain necessary documentation related to work
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience in a clinical or surgical setting
SPD (Sterile Processing Department) certification required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control standards
Ability to think quickly on your feet when patient or provider needs change
